With everything you'll have on your mind when you're getting ready for your wedding, if you don't have a planning checklist you're asking for trouble.

No matter how good your memory is you'd be very unwise to rely on it for every little detail you have to remember concerning your wedding. A properly constructed wedding planning checklist is the very best way you can ensure that all of your wedding plans come to fruition.

You may find your destination wedding plans don’t require all of the typical planning steps, such as hiring a DJ if you’re having a simple beach ceremony, but here are the things to include on a typical Wedding Planning Checklist:

Set the wedding date and time
Reserve the date with a florist, photographer and DJ
Reserve the ceremony and reception location
Make travel reservations if having a destination wedding
Choose your wedding party
Arrange for your wedding dress or attire
Arrange for hair and makeup
Arrange for coordinated clothing for wedding attendants
Arrange wedding rings with a jeweler
Order wedding flowers
Order the wedding cake
Order the invitations
Send out invitations
Place wedding announcement in the local press

There are, of course, many more things than those listed above that you will need to put on your specific wedding planning checklist that are personal to your wedding, but the above will give you an idea of the things you need to include.

Remember, as long as you keep yourself organized with a checklist and give yourself plenty of time to complete each task, you'll have the ultimate reward of a happier and more stress-free wedding day.
