Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in the U.S., and one of the best states to consider for a destination wedding or just plain eloping. Whether you have a ski resort wedding, a wedding on Pike's Peak, or one in the Denver Botanic Gardens, you will be getting married amid the backdrop of incredible and awe-inspiring beauty. What are some places in Colorado you might consider for your wedding or elopement venue?
The Denver area of Colorado is a great location for your destination wedding or elopement any time of the year. You're near ski resorts which provide spectacular winter backdrops, as well as Aspen trees which turn a beautiful aspen color in the autumn. Of course, the Rocky Mountains are just beautiful any time of the year.

Pikes Peak Area
The Pike's Peak area is just growing more and more popular as a top destination wedding spot, whether you get married in a castle in Manitou Springs or on top of 14,110-foot Pikes Peak itself! The list of great spots is long, so we'll just focus on some of our favorites:
Seven Falls is located in South Cheyenne Canon, often referred to as “Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado”. And, grand it is. Seven Falls cascades 181 feet in seven distinct steps down a solid cliff of Pikes Peak granite, making it a popular spot for couples to tie the knot. You can host a wedding of up to 150 people at Seven Falls, although they do not have reception facilities and alcohol is prohibited. The two favorite spots for a wedding is at the base of the Seven Falls and at Eagle's Nest. For more information call 719-632-0752.

Billed as Colorado's Natural Wonder, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park is part natural wonder and part amusement park. It's one of the most massive gorges in the world and boasts the world's highest suspension bridge, which floats 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River; the world's steepest incline railway which takes you 1,500 feet below to the canyon floor; and the world's longest single-span Aerial Tram. You will also find other rides and attractions such as the Royal Rush Skycoaster, burro rides, carousel and muleteam wagon rides.
It only makes sense that an attraction which holds many world records should be your choice for a wedding venue. The location of choice for weddings is the Cliff Walk, which is an overhang with gorgeous views, just perfect for those wedding photos. Cave of the Winds
If you want a totally unique, small intimate wedding, consider having your ceremony at Cave of the Winds, located in the scenic hills above historic Manitou Springs. You can take guided tours through the cave and even be married in the cave's Bridal Chamber, which will accommodate up to 15 people. Another room of the Cave is Canopy Hall, which can accommodate 25 people. This would be a truly unique wedding location. Call 719-685-5444 ext. 24 for more information.
