But, for many couples, there's just something about a barn that makes a wedding even more romantic than any venue in the world! What makes The Hayloft a cool wedding venue is, of course, the barn, which was built in 1886, featuring hand-hewn beams and the original plank floor. Located in Richmond, Vermont, about 30 miles west of Stowe, the West Monitor Barn is a beautifully rustic barn venue for weddings up to 200 people. Originally built in 1903, the barn was reconstructed using 40% of its original timbers, featuring carriage barn lamps and surrounded by spectacular views of forests and conserved fields. Rental of the West Monitor Barn includes the use of the 3rd floor reception area, an 80ft private deck, and the field behind the Barn, which is perfect for bocce or croquet.
